AFFCO giving back to the community.
Welcome to the 2021 bobby calf season, when you supply your bobby calves to AFFCO, you are also supporting your rural community. For every calf you supply AFFCO we make a donation to your nominated rural primary school or volunteer fire brigade.
For every bobby calf you supply, AFFCO donates 40 cents to a local rural primary school or volunteer fire brigade of your choice through our Cash for Schools and Cash for Volunteer Fire Brigades programme.
Simply nominate your rural school or volunteer fire service at the bottom of the Bobby Calf Registration/Status Declaration 2021 and we will do the rest.
Since 2010 AFFCO have donated over $1 million to rural primary schools and since 2015 to volunteer fire brigades. We recognise these two organisations are a vital part of the rural community and as such AFFCO are proud to support them.
Not only did these handsome members of the Morrinsville Fire Brigade feature in our brand video alongside our livestock buyer for the area Joel Alderson, they have also been the recipients of over $3,000.00 in donations since 2015. These donations have assisted the Morrinsville Fire Brigade with their operational expenses including having to self fund their water tanker for a period of time.
These pupils of St Joseph's School in Te Aroha, pictured here with our livestock buyer Mark Peterson are enjoying resources purchased form the Bobby Calf donations received from nominations from our bobby calf suppliers. Over the past five years St Joseph's School has received over $5,000.00 in donations from the AFFCO Cash for Schools Bobby Calf scheme. For this school with a roll of approximately 100 students, donations like this help with providing the students with learning resources that would otherwise not be able to be purchased.
